Yes you read that right. Parts of Maine got record snowfall yesterday (Monday, May 16, 2016) after a coldchill moved across the Central U.S. to the Northeast.
Northern Maine saw 4 to 7 inches of snow yesterday.
Sure it’s supposed to snow in Northern Maine. But this much? Take a look at these totals:
“This is the highest amount of snow we have had this late in the year,” said Rich Norton, a National Weather Service meteorologist in Caribou, Maine, told Bloomberg News. “It will set a new record.”
